Join Brighter Tomorrow's position as a Behavior Technician dedicated to supporting children with autism in a home setting in Stewartsville, NJ, then will be in the summer program from June to August. The salary range is $22.00 to $30.00/hour DOE.
This client needs services M-W-F 3:30p-6:30p and then the client will attend the summer program Mon-Fri 9a-4p, June through August.
Duties
Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions tailored to each child's needs using principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA)
Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence and confidence
Collect and record data on behavior patterns, skill acquisition, and progress to inform treatment plans
Support children during therapy sessions by encouraging participation and reinforcing positive behaviors
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop and modify individualized care plans and behavior management strategies
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including medical records and progress notes
Foster a safe, engaging environment that promotes learning, socialization, and emotional well-being
Requirements
Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, special education, or working with children is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
Strong interest in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
Ability to assist with ADLs and support behavioral health initiatives effectively
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, families, and team members
Comfortable working in a clinical environment that emphasizes patient care and behavior management techniques
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and confidentiality standards such as HIPAA is advantageous
Patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude to support children's growth and development throughout the program
