    Job Description

    The Clinical Trainer will be responsible for independently coordinating and facilitating new hire orientation and training as well as training existing BHW employees as requested. In addition, the Clinical Trainer  is expected to have excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. The ability to appropriately interact with employees and other BHW staff members in a professional manner will be required. The Clinical Trainer  is a highly visible role in the organization and often the company’s first impression. It is imperative that the incumbent be professional and punctual. This position is full-time, non-exempt and the Clinical Trainer will be eligible for overtime. The Clinical Trainer  reports directly to the Associate Director of Research & Development.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

    • Delivers training materials on job responsibilities, organizational policies, processes, and technologies so as to ensure that employees develop, maintain, and increase their own clinical and/or process knowledge
    • Independently coordinates and facilitates new hire orientation training for their regional office as well as any other regions assigned
    • Manages training programs and records training completions as required
    • Manages the RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification process for new hires in the Coordinator’s region(s)
    • Overlaps new hires as needed in the field
    • Signs off on RBT Competency Checklist items
    • Provides training and support to clinical employees as requested by the Associate Director of Research & Development
    • Remains current regarding new research, current trends and developments in organizational behavior management, behavior analysis, training, autism, special education, and related fields
    • Coordinates and/or attends new hire overlaps during new hire training period
    • Assists with the development of training materials
    • Coordinates and plans monthly/quarterly employee events to increase employee engagement as needed
    • Completes, updates, and verifies I-9 forms for employees
    • Prepare materials for new hires including but not limited to welcome gifts, new hire packets, toy bags, and tablets
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • Minimum of an RBT and/or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, Child Development or Applied Behavior Analysis.
    • At least 1 year of experience as an ABA Therapist or 6 months working with individuals with disabilities + 6 months training experience
    • Willingness to obtain and maintain an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician certificate)
    • Experience successfully presenting information one-on-one, in small groups and large groups
    • Positive, polished, professional presence
    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with demonstrated ability to multitask
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
    • Previous experience working successfully in a highly matrixed organization
    • Commitment to upholding the company’s mission and vision to the community

    PREFERRED

    • Previous work experience training others in applied behavior analysis
    • Experience conducting trainings and speaking in front of large groups
    • Demonstrated ability working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple high-level tasks at one time
    • Enrolled or planning to enroll in a Master’s program in ABA, special education, psychology, or a related field is preferred
