    Core Responsibilities

    Direct Therapy: Deliver 1:1 intervention sessions based on individualized treatment plans.

    Skill Building: Teach communication, social skills, play, and self-help independence.

    Data Collection: Accurately record and track client behavior and progress during sessions.

    Collaboration: Communicate regularly with supervising BCBAs, families, and clinical teams.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    Education: High school diploma or GED minimum; some roles prefer or require college coursework or a degree in psychology, education, or a related field. [1]

    Age & Authorization: Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S. [1]

    Certification: Many positions provide paid training to obtain the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential. []

    Physical Requirements: Ability to actively engage with clients, which may include sitting, kneeling, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds. [1]
