Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Manager Caregiver to oversee daily operations and lead our caregiving team in providing exceptional resident care. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines direct caregiving, staff supervision, and operational management within an adult family home setting.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Leadership & Training
Lead, guide, and motivate caregivers to ensure quality care and efficient operations
Provide training to staff on care procedures, documentation, and behavior management
Serve as first point of contact to fill in during staff call-ins, late arrivals, or emergencies
Address staff and resident issues professionally and promptl
Resident Care & Support
Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care
Administer and manage medications; understand all resident medications and care plans
Coordinate resident appointments and maintain clear communication with healthcare providers
Foster strong, supportive relationships with residents, encouraging independence and well-being
Operational Oversight
Conduct daily facility walkthroughs to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper function
Manage inventory, assist with grocery orders, and ensure supplies are stocked
Oversee accurate, real-time documentation in ECP software
Represent the home at case management meetings as needed
Be available on-call to respond to emergencies or staffing issues
Behavior Management
Teach and model de-escalation and behavioral intervention strategies
Monitor and document resident behaviors, ensuring proper communication with the team
Train staff on identifying behaviors, following support plans, and documenting accurately
Respond calmly and effectively to crisis situations, ensuring safety for all
Qualifications
CBRF Certification (Medication Administration, First Aid, Fire Safety, etc.)
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Prior experience working with adults with behavioral health challenges
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to model compassionate, ethical, and respectful care
Proficiency with basic technology, including documentation software (ECP preferred)
Ability to reliably work flexible hours, including occasional on-call shifts
Position Details
Open to internal and external candidates
Full-time position with 12-hour shifts and on-call responsibilities
Starting wage: $18.00 per hour (with potential for higher rate based on experience)
