    Job Description

    Our client in Colfax, NC are seeking an HR/Payroll/Accounting associate to add to their team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization's human resources; managing payroll processing and perform accounting-related tasks.


    PAY: $16-18/hr (DOE)

    HOURS: 8am - 5pm

    EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Temporary to Hire


    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
    • Maintain organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
    • Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
    • Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
    • Maintain employee benefits programs and inform employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims 
    • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
    • Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
    • Manage and guarantee bi-weekly disbursement of payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws
    • Ensure the processing of new hires/temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 2+ years experience in Human Resources
    • 3+ years experience managing payroll for all staff including temporary employees.
    • Proficient at MS Office (especially Excel)
    • Working experience of payroll tax at the federal, state and local level.
