    Job Description

     

    To assist Believe’s Head of Sync, USA with general administrative tasks including; managing license requests, catalogue management, creating and distributing marketing materials, drafting licensing agreements and handling client invoicing and financial tracking. Room to grow into a more creative role, pitching our Believe roster.

    MAIN TASKS:

    • Manage license requests, as directed, from start to finish across all media. Includes reviewing key terms, obtaining label/artist/writer approval, quoting (approving) to the client and tracking overall process.
    • Issuing licensing and invoicing paperwork direct to clients, tracking completion of licenses as well as ensuring payments are made, tracked and reported swiftly and correctly. 
    • Partner with outside publishers to ensure placements are cleared quickly and efficiently.
    • Manage music audio (uploading/ingesting to Disco, ensuring rights are properly tagged). Acquire and maintain assets and data from A&R, marketing, studio and various sources (e.g. instrumentals, files, remixes, publishing information, 3rd party rights, and sample information).
    • Building and maintaining a music library of themed playlists, catalogue selections and new releases.
    • Designing and building email mailouts and promotional material to send to clients.
    • Assisting with pitching to briefs and working on track searches.
    • General administrative and creative support to the Head of Sync for North America.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

     

    Ideal candidates will have 1-2 years experience in the music industry and some experience in music clearance.

    You must have the following:

    • Basic understanding of music clearance and licensing. This is not a role for someone new to the clearance process.
    • A good knowledge of and passion for independent music.
    • Excellent communication skills. You must be confident in dealing with clients and labels on the phone and over email.
    • A desire to meet short and long term targets.
    • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
    • Photoshop skills are preferable, but not essential.

    You must be:

    • Specifically interested by a career in sync .
    • A passionate self-starter able to work with and without direct supervision.
    • Organised, with an ability to prioritise a busy day-to-day workload as well as continuing to meet longer term targets.
