FINANCIAL ANALYST

BELL & ASSOCIATES, INC. HAS BEEN ENGAGED TO FIND OUR CLIENT AN ESTABLISHED ACCOUNTING PROFESSIONAL FOR A FINANCIAL ANALYST ROLE REPORTING DIRECTLY TO THE CONTROLLER.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced managerial accounting professional to join an established organization as a Financial Analyst located in the heart of Johnson County. The Financial Analyst will be charged with defining the big picture financial perspective and digging into the details of departmental budgets. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee and prepare daily, weekly, and quarterly financial reporting
• Financial modeling and analysis, then preparation and reporting of those findings to senior leadership
• Facilitate monthly variance meetings, analyze variances and write a narrative report explaining findings
• Assessment of current procedures and operations to identify and implement those process improvements
• Responsible for category and product line profitability reporting, including the impact of product margin
• Preparation of annual budgets, forecasting, and cash flow projections
• Ownership of development and maintenance of 3-year financial plans

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

· 2+ years in a relevant financial analyst role

· Bachelor’s or higher in accounting or finance required (CPA or MBA designation highly preferred)

· Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence others through financial analysis

· Excellent technical knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial analysis processes

· Must be able to keep the big picture in mind while not losing sight of immediate small details

· Oracle, SaaS, Cognos, and SQL experience are a plus. Large ERP system experience required

· Advanced Excel required (an evaluation will be administered as part of the vetting process)

· Experience with creating financial modeling

· Ability to apply excellent business acumen and understanding of balance sheet and income statement components to daily responsibilities

· Adaptive to the need at hand, changes in the company and champions change when needed

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required for client consideration with a Master’s degree/active CPA strongly preferred.
