As a result of their success, they are seeking a digitally focused Marketing Leader to drive more opportunity and lead generation through awareness, branding, and communication. POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing and communications strategy to support significant business growth and enhance brand equity and awareness. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, training, and managing all marketing functions to achieve our client's objectives of sales, growth, profitability, and visibility, ensuring a consistent marketing message and position aligned with the corporate direction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute our client's long-term strategic marketing plans to realize sustainable and profitable growth
- Plan and implement marketing and communication programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets
- Manage all aspects of public and community relations, and planning campaigns and advertisements. Charged with building data-driven marketing team focus on continually piloting and testing new programs for continual improvement.
- Partner with sales to continually refine coordinated funnel activity to optimize leads, speed conversions and ensure that the right leads are provided to the sales team at the right time
- Develop strong branding and marketing programs for each practice that both drives results for that individual practice and support the overall corporate goals and brand
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
- As part of the senior leadership team, participates in setting organizational goals, strategies, forecasting, reporting and measurement
- Develops/executes all company marketing strategies, including customer identification, acquisition, management, and retention
- Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all marketing activity. Appraises and evaluates results of overall marketing regularly and translates this analytical data into strategic recommendations and plans.
- Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events
- Oversees and evaluates buyer research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
SPECIFIC ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and executes campaigns with the objectives of lead generation, brand awareness and alumni retention and expansion across multiple channels and verticals
- Generate quarterly and annual plans to enroll more, higher potential students and corporate partners at a lower total cost per acquisition
- Develop, forecast, and manage marketing operation budget
- Monitors competitor products, sales, and marketing activities
- Manage attribution and measurement to allocate funds across channels and optimize performance within channels
- Collaborate with peers to generate and use insight about students and the business to optimize media spend
- Be a thought leader and partner in driving data-driven decisions that support improved results
- Lead and manage all aspects of the marketing mix, including branding, web-site design, creative, public relations, social media, events, promotions, and collateral materials
- Develop and lead digital marketing strategy to drive innovation and customer acquisition
- Assess ongoing digital marketing processes and tools to support continuous improvement
- Recruit, lead, coach, inspire, and motivate others
- Coordinate company-wide efforts to assure successful new product & service go-to-market launches
- Guide the development and execution of vendor-specific plans to ensure strong relationships and to realize maximum value for both partners
- Regularly present to and interact with board of directors, helping them understand the marketing strategies and the results of these programs
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising
- Proven experience with marketing automation programs and campaigns to deliver results
- Leadership, including setting sound objectives and developing and administering metrics
- Minimum 15 years’ experience and a demonstrated history of accomplishments in marketing and communication
- 7-10 years progressive management experience
- Minimum 5 years of B2B marketing experience
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
- Shows high commitment to own duties and the company objectives
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and translate that into business opportunities
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
- Be a hands-on manager willing to roll up sleeves to get the job done
- Degree or equivalent experience: Bachelor’s from a four-year university; additional education is preferred. Experience in technology or training companies a plus
- International marketing experience a plus
