    Our client is a premier supplier of building materials, products, electronics and appliances to the Recreational Vehicle (RV) Industry. They are an exclusive dealer for several well known electronics and appliance brands, as well as unique and proprietary industry leading solutions. Their principals have over 50 years experience in building, distribution and sourcing.

    As part of a significant growth in 2020 and the resulting expansion of 8x new warehouse space, my client is seeking a Warehouse Manager.  This is a key role and will be responsible for guiding, directing and monitoring inventory management, warehousing and material handling through the analysis, implementation and use of warehouse management systems.

    This position will play a vital role in developing strategies and tactics for improving operational efficiencies and service levels while reducing operation costs.  The Warehouse Manager should also have previous experience in the build out and expansion of new distribution space, including the systems and storage management solutions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Hire, develop and discipline employees in a fair and consistent manner ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
    • Communicate with both internal and external customers on business-related issues as required
    • Manage inbound receipts and outbound customer orders through proven processes
    • Participate in strategic planning related to identifying short and long term strategies for the inventory and warehousing teams
    • Work cross-functionally through multiple departments to ensure efficient product flow
    • Develop and implement procedures to maintain inventory accuracy
    • Ensure the physical condition of all warehouse facilities and equipment are maintained by developing, implementing, and/or ensuring the use of SOPs
    • Responsible for maintaining and implementing warehouse safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations
    • Create performance improvement plans, administer corrective counseling, and identify training opportunities when appropriate
    • Develop metrics to measure performance
    • Investigate process failures, prepare corrective action plans, and monitor process improvements to ensure effective corrective action is taken
    • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce our overall supply chain costs and improve customer service levels
    • Ensure all claims for customer shortage or damage are processed appropriately
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with all Corporate, Local, State and Federal policies, laws and regulations

    REQUIREMENTS

    • At least 10 years’ experience in automated warehousing and distribution including 7 years supervisory experience with at least 50 employees
    • Prior experience with integration of ERP and/or WMS required
    • Prior experience working through change management and introduction of new processes
    • Lean experience required
    • Prior management of a large warehouse or distribution center of at least 300k sf required
    • Prior experience with new warehouse design and set-up a plus
    • Positive, motivational leader
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Well organized with the ability to function in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment
    • Minimum travel required
    • Degree in Business or related field
