• Maintain a knowledge of product codes for untagged items
• Use P.O.S. (point of sale) system to process in-store items
• Alert Sales staff to customers in need of assistance
• Process payments, including cash handling
• Direct waiting customers with in-store items to your workstation
• Communicate anytime you need to leave your workstation
• Conduct yourself each day in a manner consistent with Dunn Lumber’s core values
• Keeping workstation clean
Greeter function:
Our Quick Check cashiers are always ready to welcome customers with a smile. Being a greeter means being aware of customers entering the store and extending a welcome even when assisting a customer through the checkout process, engaging with a co-worker, or cleaning up your workstation. Depending on the staffing of the Quick Check Station, walking the front of the store to help answer questions and direct customers may be included in your greeter duties.
This is a Full Time job working 40 hours per week. The store hours are Monday-Friday from 6:55am to 6:05pm and Saturday from 7:55am to 5:05pm.
Available schedule is:
(M - F 8:00am - 5:00pm)

Employee must possess the ability to perform the following Quick Check Cashier Duties:

Technical Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have general computer use abilities, and competent knowledge of typing skills and general computer use abilities.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Occasionally required to sit, kneel, squat, or crouch. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. To increase visibility, standing and/or walking the store will be required at least 50% of the time while talking with co-workers and customers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This job constantly operates in an indoor retail store environment, usually near the front door. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The passage of employees through the work is average and normal.
