    Position Summary

    The Bellperson plays a key role in delivering a welcoming, seamless guest experience from arrival through departure. This position provides luggage assistance, guest guidance, and responsive service while upholding the standards and service culture of Marriott International. The Bellperson is often the first and last impression of the hotel and must demonstrate professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail at all times.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival and departure

    • Assist guests with luggage to and from guest rooms, vehicles, and designated storage areas

    • Escort guests to rooms, explaining room features, hotel amenities, and services

    • Provide directions and information regarding hotel facilities, local attractions, transportation, and dining options

    • Coordinate with Front Desk, Concierge, and Valet teams to ensure smooth guest transitions

    • Safely store and retrieve guest luggage as requested

    • Respond promptly to guest requests and service needs

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bell stand, lobby, and luggage storage areas

    • Handle guest belongings with care and maintain confidentiality at all times

    • Adhere to hotel safety, security, and service standards

    • Support special events, group arrivals, and VIP guests as needed

    • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

    • Deliver proactive, anticipatory service and resolve guest concerns promptly

    • Represent the hotel positively to all guests, visitors, and associates

    Qualifications

    • Previous hospitality or guest service experience preferred

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Ability to provide friendly, professional service in a fast-paced environment

    • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

    • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with team members

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs

    • Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods

    • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

    Work Environment

    • Hotel lobby, guest areas, loading zones, and outdoor entry points

    • Frequent interaction with guests, staff, and visitors

    Additional Information

    This position is part of the bargaining unit and is subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Duties and responsibilities may be adjusted based on operational needs.
