Electrical Engineer Manager

This person will be focus on everything power distribution related, which includes components such as circuit breakers, switch boards, transformers, disconnects, distribution panels, and AC/DC wiring. Responsibilities include but not limited to red lining schematics, troubleshooting components, creating solutions for customer issues, performing engineering calculations, red-lining design work, creating bills of materials, reviewing cut sheets, some electrical supplies management, and inspecting/sizing wire, breakers, disconnects, and wire ways. They will also work closely with a variety of teams such as purchasing and engineering to verify that vendor’s materials are correct and meet the form fit & functions specifications expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of electrical design, integration and testing for the company such as:

  
  

  • Work with and approve all wiring diagrams and schematics for electrical job folders
  • Work with shop electrical leads to drive efficiency in wiring and installation per NEC
  • Improve one off design testing and drive efficient production test SOP’s
  • Work with purchasing team to develop select new/alternative products to reduce electrical costs per project
  • Work with Quality and Customer service teams to close out open Non-Conformance items and support on site electrical issues through field service.
  • Complete all electrical folders with existing team to minimize delays in purchasing and or shop integration
  • Manage resources through proper scheduling of team by hours and project milestones.
  • Support production meeting and folder review processes prior to release to minimize impacts and drive improvements in design
  • Preferred EE, PE a plus
  • Opportunity to manage both electrical and mechanical teams
  • Ability to create wiring diagrams and schematics for all jobs as required.
  • Improve on current electrical design package submittal to allow for a complete electrical design package issued to production

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering
• 4+ years’ experience power distribution components (circuit breakers, switch boards, transformers, disconnects, distribution panels, AC/DC wiring)
• Personable/Customer service oriented
• Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel Spreadsheets, CAD or Electrical CAD experience.
• Reliable and detail oriented and able to function at high level in fast paced manufacturing environment.
