Bemana is assisting a local New Orleans Marketing/Advertising Agency in finding a highly motivated and experienced Designer who works well in a deadline driven atmosphere with rapidly shifting priorities. You should be able to work successfully with a variety of internal stakeholders and external vendors.

In this role, the Designer will create/retouch/repair digital art while executing designs, layouts, resizes, logos, etc. for use in appropriate tactics. You also need to be a troubleshooter, overseeing/evaluating effective design + production issues, while executing design fundamentals.

As a Designer, your immediate duties will be to design, develop, and QA both graphical and media elements that are focused on print, web, and digital content within standards, guidelines and requirements. 

Responsibilities Include:

• Work with creative leads, stakeholders and other team members as appropriate.
• Work closely with creative leads to implement the visual needs of over-arching creative concepts.
• Understand and utilize tools and technologies to maintain the agencies mechanical standards.
• Understand, apply, and QA branding standards and requirements.
• Work with the creative lead to track multiple projects, timelines and deliverables as needed.
• Adjust mechanical/lithographic features + photo retouching/image manipulation that relate to proofing and any prepress needs. Delivering and receiving these files/proofs may also be required.
• Keep apprised and knowledgeable of current trends and innovations in the industry.
• Contributes to production workflow and efficiency.

Required Skills & Personal Attributes: 

• Bachelor’s degree in an advertising-related field (preferably in Graphic Design, but not necessary).
• Up to four years prepress and/or graphic design experience in a high-volume workplace.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Connectivity Softwares, archival methods, Microsoft Office.
• Good understanding of traditional production practices (digital experience is a plus).
• Advanced knowledge of various mechanical file specifications, mail formats, mailing methods, postal rules and regulations.
• Strong critical thinking skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Good time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure without compromising performance or accuracy in a deadline- oriented environment.
• Team player with a strong sense of personal accountability.
