    SALARY: $79,000 - $84,000

    ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION

    The Ben Hudnall Memorial Trust (BHMT) is a Taft-Hartley Education Trust established by Kaiser Permanente and union representatives of its Alliance and Coalition represented workforce. It is dedicated to supporting life-long learning and its individual members' career management. As such, BHMT provides Career Counseling services and a portfolio of diverse programs to support eligible union employees at all points along their Kaiser Permanente career journey including:

    • Opportunities in the areas of academics (stipend program, degree completion), certification/licensing, continuing education, IT, language, and skills competencies.
    • Cohort-based curriculum through Regional and Multi-Regional Training Programs.

    BHMT works closely with Kaiser Permanente’s (KP) National Workforce Planning and Development Department and its Regional counterparts to constantly adapt and expand Trust offerings to meet the needs of both our management and labor union partners as well as those of the individual participant.

     

    DESCRIPTION

    The Data Analyst I with BHMT collaborates within an environment that drives superior results while providing world-class customer service and support to our participants. Under the direction of the IT Director, the Data Analyst I conducts full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities, and design in order to:

    • turn data into information, information to insight and insight into actionable and measurable business decisions; and
    • identify system and operational improvements necessary to better serve BHMT beneficiaries.

    The General Accounting Clerk shares the responsibility with all other BHMT staff to promote and adhere to BHMT’s workplace guiding principles -- Teamwork, Service Focus, Life-Long Learning, Innovation, Integrity, Supportive, Resilience, and Diversity.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Design/update and administer client satisfaction surveys to ensure the highest quality program delivery; produce and deliver accurate, compelling reports to BHMT Leadership to identify and prioritize process improvement projects.
    • Prepare quarterly and annual program/service utilization reports using graphs, charts, data tables, and other report infographics to provide clear and engaging summaries to build and maintain support with all BHMT stakeholders.
    • Develop policies, procedures, and standards for database use; develop and monitor security procedures.
    • Support our internal BHMT team (project managers, career counselors, outreach specialists, etc.) and stakeholders (regional and national workforce planning and develop committees) in fulfilling their requests for data and reporting; produce ad hoc queries, provide talking points and summaries to help them deliver accurate and influential reports to their audiences; create and update data intake forms, manage intake process, prioritize requests, engage appropriate internal resources to validate data, develop clear and compelling communications, follow up with requestor of data as necessary.
    • Identify trends in client populations to enhance marketing and measure campaign success; make recommendations to leadership to improve digital marketing campaigns (BHMT website and social media channels).
    • Refine and update our business staffing model to help BHMT leadership ‘load balance’ career counselor tasks and priorities across all regions and service areas.
    • Manage vendor data and business partner relationships; work closely with business partners who provide programs and services to our eligible employees; ensure that invoices, tracking information, shared notes, and other data items are delivered on a timely basis and are uploaded successfully to the internal database system.
    • Develop and deliver training in partnership with BHMT Learning and Development Manager, for the internal BHMT team; this training will help our team use our internal information systems safely and efficiently; collect feedback from the team to improve internal systems from a technical perspective (bug fixes, inefficient UI features, etc.).
    • Provide data updates at staff meetings, offsites, etc., as needed.
    • Data validation and data documentation; develop automated routines to ensure the validity of data on an ongoing basis.  Work with our development team to craft data validation solutions that alert our team when data is inaccurate and/or corrupted.
    • Manage BHMT Assets such as laptops, services, and installed programs
    •  Act as primary point-person for BHMT staff technology support including tech refresh
    • Serve as the first point of contact for staff seeking technical assistance and follow up with staff to ensure full resolutions of errors
    • Collect and analyze recurring technical issues to solve at the root cause level (with help from senior technical and process improvement staff)
    • When possible, train staff to prevent and/or troubleshot tech issues on their own
    • Create and remove access rights for staff and stakeholders to corporate information systems (BadgerBase) based on policy and procedure
    • Manage help desk software and workflow

     

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Job-specific requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in certifications; 
    • 1-2 years of relevant experience
    • Critical thinking and analysis skills
    • Proven leadership abilities and emotional intelligence
    • Demonstrated success handling initiatives of high complexity
    • Exposure to analytics software: SQL, Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, or other similar software
    • Intermediate or higher skills in MS 365 Suite
    • Exposure to Program Management software
    • Data Visualization
    • Strong prioritization skills
    • Small and large group facilitation skills;
    • Effective communication and ability to present data within BHMT programs, systems, and business environment/context.

    • Knowledge in career development theories, program development, instructional design, and adult learning strategies
