Responsibilities: Perform Quality Jewelry Repairs • Execute precise ring sizings, reshanking, retipping of prongs, chain soldering, and head replacements while working with a torch and laser welder, and exhibit expert polishing/finishing with a focus on durability and craftsmanship. Qualifications: • This position requires SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE IN JEWELRY REPAIR in a retail or commercial jewelry repair shop. Please do not apply if this experience is not in place. Exceptions are made only for candidates who have taken classes at New Approach School for Jewelers. • Experience in chain repair, ring sizing, prong retipping, head soldering, intricate soldering, and other basic skills working with precious metals. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills in the realm of jewelry repair. • Willingness to learn and grow with a humble and appreciative approach to constructive instruction. • Ability to use both a jewelry torch and a jewelry laser welder. • Availability to start on location in a full-time position within two to four weeks. Compensation: $40,000 - $60,000 yearly
