    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Position to act as single point of contact on activities required to manage inventory returns to manufacturers. The overall aim of the position is to drive financial performance within OneSource annual goals and key inventory performance metrics, while focused on providing a positive customer experience for both internal and external customers.  This position coordinates cross functionally communicating with vendor partners, purchasing, product specialists, warehouse, accounts payable, branch and project management personnel on all aspects of returns.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include the following: other duties may be assigned)

     

    • Prioritize returns based on largest financial impact while meeting vendor return deadlines and terms, ensuring OneSource has maximized all available return opportunities with our stocking partner vendors

    • Submit return requests to vendors within vendor required guidelines & follow up every 2 weeks until return authorization or response is received.

    • Confirm vendor returns adhere to terms of Sonepar/OSD agreements. Engage Purchasing Manager if authorized returns do not meet our program agreements for assistance before accepting and processing return.

    • Manage shared returns calendar to include 60-day advance reminders for Purchasing & Product Managers. Calendar vendors per their specific program guidelines to ensure all available returns occur within the terms of our agreements.

    • Maintain shared database of vendor return program guidelines, contacts, and processes for all stocking vendors.

    • Distribute reporting of items suggested for return based on current guidelines as defined by Purchasing Manager

    • Provide monthly summary progress reports to Purchasing Manager & Director of Material Management on amounts requested, in process, and completed by vendor.

    • Process inventory disposal and/or donations as approved by Purchasing Manager within OneSource current policy and approval procedure.

    • Coordinate & review quarterly wire scrap with Distribution Center warehouse personnel. Provide update of value scrapped vs. credit received to Purchasing Manager, Wire & Cable Manager, and Director of Material Management.

    • Enter & manage return purchase orders in Eclipse per current OneSource policy & procedures

    • Coordinate incoming & outgoing customer and vendor returns with designated warehouse, project team and branch personnel per current process.

    • Assist warehouse returns personnel on discrepancies associated with RGA to ensure what is physically returned conforms to the vendor’s RGA. Coordinate any needed actions to reach resolution.

    • Coordinate actions with accounts payable personnel on deductions, credits, and return related discrepancies per current process through to final resolution.

    • Research open return related unbilled accounts payable transactions monthly, proactively working to resolve items within 90 days.

     REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have Beginner Excel skills
    • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with little supervision
    • Must demonstrate good time management skills

    • Must possess excellent customer service skills
