  • Responsibilities

    CASER JOB SUMMARY:   Responsible for safely and efficiently operating production equipment, while producing a quality product. Understand and align business operations and the Department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

    • Understand and comply with plant and finishing department rules, regulations, and procedures
    • Operate forklift to stage loads
    • Take pallets to and from Warehouse
    • Keeps corrugated boxes stacked for packers
    • Keeps corrugation rack clean and stocked
    • Sets up labeling as needed, as well as makes labels
    • Keys finished loads into computer tracking system
    • Palletizes and wraps loads
    • Keeps area clean throughout shift
    • Responsible for understanding and adhering to all GMP, safety, food safety, SQF, HACCP and food defense procedures (training will be provided)
    • Any other reasonable request from management 
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Skills

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • 1 or more years’ experience operating a printing press or related equipment 

    • SAP experience preferred

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. 

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

    Company issued Fork Truck Operator’s license.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

    WORK SCHEDULE:

    • General schedule is an 8- or 12-hour shift, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
    • Occasional overtime is required.
