    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Using  the Government provided software system (Atrium), the following LRC support services to include inventory, marketing/publicity, administrative functions, item check-out and check-in, stock returns, tracking overdue items, issuing overdue notices, and bar coding items for all assets.  Will be reclaiming past due items by notifying users and their First Sergeants.  The LRC Technician will ensure personnel utilizing computer networks meet network authorization requirements as established by AFIs, and local policies.  The LRC Technician shall implement and maintain an integrated LRC program at MSAB up to 24 hours/day, 7 days/week in support of Community Services Flight objectives and provide guest support. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Will shelve returned/new items, straighten inventory, perform hourly attendance checks, maintain hourly check-out log and other tasks related to the operation of the LRC guest service desk.
    • Will not use cell phones or electronic devices behind the counter or in customer service areas.
    • Will organize, inventory and maintain periodicals and reference materials IAW with established LRC operating procedures.
    • Will post notices of new items and programs, maintain displays and signage in designated places throughout the LRC.
    • Will clean, straighten and maintain the appearance of the LRC IAW local procedures.
    • Will perform general minor maintenance (screw tightening, shelf readjustment, etc.) on shelving and other assets as needed.
    • Will be answering the phone, perform shift change procedures and other office-related duties, and assist guests with copier and scanner functions as needed.
    • Will assist with video camera/room set up and maintain a reservation system for the “USOs United Through Reading” program.
    • Will receive and organize books and movies donated to the LRC and display them for customers.
    • Must be able to connect all audio/video equipment; maintain reference library and inventory items as required.
    • Will need to order requested materials via the Air Force Library program requirements, issue library cards to patrons and out process personnel in the Air Force Library System and sign out-processing checklists prior to redeployment to ensure LRC property is returned.
    • Will be also assisting Education Center customers at the LRC with general education questions or refer them to the correct agency.
    • Will ensure personnel sign in for all LRC services to include morale computers, enforce equipment use time limits, and answer guest questions concerning how to use computers.
    • Must be able to ensure all computers are in working order and call 332 EFSS/CSA within 30 minutes of computers going down or discovering network connection issues

     

    MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Air Force Library programs
    • Valid US Driver’s License
    • Valid US Passport

    SECURITY CLEARANCE: MUST HAVE AND MAINTAIN AN U.S. SECRET CLEARANCE

    MUST BE ABLE TO PASS EMPLOYMENT AND DEPLOYMENT QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS THAT INCLUDE PSYCHOLOGICAL, MEDICAL, DENTAL, DRUG TESTING, BACKGROUND CHECKS, ETC.
