    The Orientation and Onboarding Training Specialist conducts training programs for Rogers Behavioral Health employees with an emphasis on regulatory compliance-driven and professional development learning. Trainer(s) may specialize in specific training delivery such as Community Based Residential Facilities (CBRF) classes (e.g., Medication Administration, Fire Safety, Standard Precautions and First Aid & Chocking), job-specific onboarding and new employee orientations, mentor and preceptor trainings, or other specialties. Prepares for and delivers high quality learning events while remaining open-minded about what can be done better. Focuses not only on transfer of knowledge, but also the creation of a learning experience that shapes behaviors that are reflective of the Rogers’ culture. This position requires constant contact with other employees and connectivity to the overall corporate strategies to help and improve employee careers and organizational performance that lead to the fulfillment of the Rogers mission and vision.

    • JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Conducts a variety of staff development training programs that provide educational growth for the staff of Rogers Behavioral Health.
      • Uses broad range of facilitative, instructional design, process improvement, program coordination, and computer tools and techniques to accomplish results.
      • Provides online and conference call training session for offsite employees. Prepares hard copy training materials and presentations for employees and with the approval of management.
      • Keeps up with and applies the latest adult learning theory and practice to the corporate training environment.
      • Works to keep training programs vibrant engaging for students.
      • Ensures that all training materials and programs are compliant with laws and regulations governing the industry.
      • Collaborates with team leadership and team members to develop an annual schedule of budgeted educational activities that meet organizational learning needs and requirements.
      • Coordinates training schedule to ensure classes are accessible and offered frequently enough to meet the needs of the customers.
      • Collaborates with team leadership and team members to develop, schedule and facilitate new-hire orientation programs.
      • Works to provide a continuum of orientation experiences that deliver critical information to newly hired employees.
      • Reports progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
      • Plans and conducts program evaluations to measure the success of the course objectives and/or effectiveness of all programs offered.
      • In collaboration with team leadership, analyze results to identify themes, trends or other data points that highlight areas of excellence and/or areas of opportunity for improvement.
      • Provide reports about results when requested and annually.
      • Provides backup staffing for designated personnel as required, and maintains cross-training as necessary to perform role.
      • Participates in or manages special projects as needed to insure smooth operation of department function and services.
      • Keeps director and other appropriate persons informed of activities, successes, and problem areas at all times.
      • Participates in the identification and evaluation of important aspects of quality, customer service and effectiveness relevant to the department’s services.
      • Attends required yearly training and maintained compliance with job specific certifications if appropriate.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, Behavioral Health, Talent Development,
    • Professional Training, or related field is required, OR six (6) years equivalent experience (group facilitation, training, and/or related behavioral health experience).
    • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a training/education or organizational development role.
    • Must be able to use group facilitation, classroom management, and intervention skills in both a virtual and live training setting.
    • Strong ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before large/small groups of employees, including executives and medical staff.
    • The following certifications are Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) Trainer for the State of Wisconsin (required after hire)
    • Association of Training and Development (ATD) Certified Learning Professional (CLP) Nonviolent Crisis Intervention© (required after hire)
    • Valid driver’s license. Must be granted insurable status by the Rogers Memorial Hospital insurance
    • policy.
