  • Responsibilities

    The Lead Security Officer serves as the Hospital Patrol Officer, patrolling and observing the hospital. Reports incidents or unusual occurrences. Closely monitors security officers making corrections when procedures are not followed. Conducts investigations, writes incident reports and monitors other security officers conducting investigations and writing reports. Conducts training of newly assigned security officers and will fill in for Shift Supervisor when not present.

    6. Ability to analyze a situation and make effective decisions.

    Required Experience

    WORK EXPERIENCE:

    Two years of internal work experience as a Security Specialist required.

    LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:

    Current CPR required.

    International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Advanced Certification required.

    Valid Driver’s License.

    EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

    High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    Completion of Aggressive Behaviors course.
