Required Training/Skills:

• High school education with continuing education in appropriate disciplines; good math, reading, writing, and communication skills; good mechanical aptitude.
• Good hand/eye coordination, ability to lift and maneuver rolls of plastic film weighing in excess of 100 lbs.

Principle Duties:

• Operation of winder and execution of roll changes as specified on work orders.
• Accurate measurement and recording of required data on production and quality control documents.
• Packaging of the finished product as specified on work orders, including the use of material handling equipment (forklift, hand truck, etc.).
• Assist group lead as necessary on start-up, adjustments, order changes, etc. (Must be able to climb stairs to perform machine adjustments).
• Assist other operators with measurements, roll changes, packaging, etc., utilizing a team approach.
• Prepare packaging supplies in advance for the following shift.
• Keep production, break room, and warehouse areas neat and clean at all times.
• Have thorough knowledge of emergency E-stops, safety trip ropes, safety equipment, and procedures.
• Fully support, endorse, and follow the guidelines of the HACCP & Food Safety Programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
