REQUIREMENTS:

-3-5+ years of cost accounting experience

-Manufacturing background--preferably within the food space and/or experience with over 300 SKUs

-Bachelor degree in finance or accounting

-Strong Excel and ERP skills

-Disciplined self-starter who wants to lead new projects to take the company to the next level

This Cost Accountant must value culture and putting the team first, while understanding the end goal and knowing how to get there. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Calculate and analyze all standard and actual production costs, including raw materials, labor and overhead.
• Lead monthly Physical Inventory process to ensure accuracy.
• Responsible for margin analysis at the plant and writing explanations for each period.
• Develop pertinent reporting, covering the areas of inventory, production, actual cost, standard cost, yield variances, and cost variances.
  
• Partner with Director of Manufacturing to prepare a detailed capital budget, including ROI, reporting, tracking, and re-forecasting.
  
• Work with accounting team to complete manufacturing accounting month-end process.
• Prepare estimates of proposed product lines profitability.
• Assist with the annual standard costing process, prepare actual vs. plan analysis.
• Responsible for preparation of operations labor and overhead budgets.
• Analyze standard and actual costing, changes cost, in product design, determine cost impact on raw materials and labor.
