    This role is responsible for eliminating wastefulness in production processes while devising efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, information, and energy to manufacture products.

    Job Duties

    · Review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods that are applied and activities that take place in manufacturing and services

    · Determine how to manufacture parts or products with maximum efficiency

    · Develop management control systems to make financial planning and cost analysis more efficient

    · Enact quality control procedures to resolve production challenges or minimize costs

    · Design control systems to coordinate activities and production planning in order to ensure that products meet quality standards

    · Confer with others about product specifications, vendors about purchases, management personnel about manufacturing capabilities, and staff about the status of projects

    · Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes.

    · Recommend procedures for detection, prevention, and elimination of physical, chemical, or other hazards

    · Drive lean opportunity identification and implementation

    · Utilize data from tools such as time studies and MTM practice, value stream and process mapping to drive methods to reduce process waste

    · Conduct ergonomic evaluations and issues resolution

    · Use tools to improve line balancing and load leveling

    · Leads Continuous Improvement Initiatives and acts as ambassador of change

    · Provides support & development for production and administrative teams

    Education & Experience

    · B.S. in industrial engineering or a related field, such as mechanical or electrical engineering or industrial engineering technologies.

    · 3+ years’ experience in process improvement in a manufacturing environment; power, electronics or lighting industry preferred
