  • Responsibilities

    Responsible for the planning, coordination, and optimization of production scheduling, across all facilities.  Creates and monitors the manufacturing, production schedule over long, mid, and short-range planning, horizons to meet customer demand. Analyzes demand patterns and works with the production team to successfully and efficiently produce.  Responsible for implementing Advanced Planning and Scheduling using finite capacity analysis.  Additionally, this position will own the recently implemented enterprise-wide Business Intelligence Platform and partner with business leaders to drive their KPIs.

    TASKS & PLANNING  - Collaborates with sales, sourcing, planning, and production manager to create and manage the production schedule for two facilities in order to:

    ---- Optimize Capacity - minimizing downtime

    ---- Meet demand

    ---- Support changing needs

    ---- Make informed modifications to the schedule based on the potential impact

    • Perform sensitivity analysis based on incoming demand versus supply. Communicate capacity and schedule related conflicts to leaders along with recommended solutions.

    • Own the internal transfer orders from sister facility which supplies raw materials to two factories

    • Implements APS (advanced planning and scheduling) in Q1 of 2020 using finite capacity scheduling functionality. Direct team of support staff to re-write and setup all new work standards/capacity models.

    • Identifies and prioritizes bottlenecks, waste, etc. to support continuous improvement in company processes

    • Analyzes long-term manufacturing capacity when making decisions about long-term labor and equipment planning

    BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE & REPORTING

    • Owns and administers enterprise-wide Business intelligence Platform (using Microsoft Power BI), which contains all functional area leaders KPIs.  Provide real-time alerts and lead root cause and problem-solving efforts

    • Partner with business leaders to establish targets, conduct analysis on history, and predict future performance

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

    • Proficient abilities in Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Excel power user

    • Experience using Business Intelligence reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.

    • APICS Certification preferred

    • Manufacturing management: Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma tools

    • Experience as a manufacturing planner and/or scheduler using MRP/APS software
