Job Description

We are looking to hire an experienced insurance broker to expand our client base. As an insurance broker, you will be responsible for selling insurance plans to new customers, up-selling plans to existing customers, and cultivating lasting relationships.

To ensure success as an insurance broker, you should have extensive knowledge of available insurance products, a passion for sales, and excellent interpersonal skills. A top-notch insurance broker creates lasting and trusting relationships with clients by finding them the best product for their needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Present and sell insurance policies to new and existing clients
• Update existing policies and maintain those relationships
• Develop, research, and calculate suitable plans based on clients' needs
• Resolve client inquiries and complaints
• Expand business reach through networking techniques and creative marketing
• Negotiating with underwriters to get the best policy at the best price
• Comply with insurance standards and regulations
• Meeting with potential clients to discuss their insurance needs
• Provide documents for collection of premiums

INSURANCE BROKER REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ preferred experience in insurance
• Insurance Broker license "Preferred"
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• High-level negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Proven work experience as an insurance broker
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business management
• Basic knowledge of office and accounting software

THIS IS A 100% COMMISSIONED INSURANCE SALES POSITION There is a guaranteed 35% commission split on current policyholders that will be paid as long as the policy remains in effect with Benefit Matrix. Newly generated policyholders will be paid at a 70% - 80% commission.
