  • Responsibilities

    The Sr. Technical Business Analyst position is responsible for a full range of activities related to the planning, design, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of solutions delivered by the Marketing Technology (MarTech) teams that enable data foundations, analytics, BI, and media/channel execution across the customer experience. Specific focus will be given to the integration with the Salesforce CRM platform.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Utilize various techniques to elicit and define business requirements, user-stories, functional and non-functional technical requirements, acceptance criteria, and report specifications (via diagrams, documents, gap analysis, and/or user stories)
    • Work with the architecture team to ensure the application of the correct technology solves business problems in the most efficient and appropriate manner
    • Communicate with business and leadership stakeholders to ensure requirements are meeting business process expectations
    • Should be able to work independently in an agile environment
    • Collaborate with developers and other technical and business subject matter experts to establish the solution requirements against the business architecture
    • Review and evaluate requirements to ensure the successful communication of business needs throughout solution delivery
    • Understand and perform logical queries to facilitate data discovery from disparate data sources across different data platforms in order to provide data integration solutions
    • Understand how to translate data integration requirements for Salesforce implementations
    • Strictly adhere to the department’s SDLC process throughout all facets of solution delivery
    • Develop and monitor QA/UAT testing to validate that the delivered solution meets the business needs specified within the requirements
    • Analyze, troubleshoot, and help resolve issues during testing and implementation
    • Assist in resolving production issues when necessary

    Required Skills

    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
    • Experience with different project management methodologies
    • Utilize “big picture” thinking and understanding to business processes, systems, and designs
    • Inquisitive and detailed perspective is required
    • Working knowledge of Salesforce Sales and/or Service Cloud
    • Working knowledge of various SDLC process and methodologies
    • Working knowledge of database marketing and automation tools is preferred
    • Basic programming knowledge is a plus
    • Knowledge of web services and cloud-based platforms is a plus
    • Knowledge of mainframe and SQL integrations is a plus
    • Experience with digital marketing and automation tools is a plus
    • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Able to overcome project obstacles and escalate when appropriate
    • Ability to evaluate and consider multiple perspectives, in order to define a solution that takes into account the many layers of a system from the user interface down to the data layers
    • Commitment to service delivery that ensures a high level of customer satisfaction

    Required Experience

    • 6+ years of experience performing technical business analysis

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience

    • Certifications in Business Analysis or Scrum Master desired

    • Certifications in Salesforce a plus

    • Proven experience in engaging in multiple initiatives simultaneously

    • Strong demonstration of the skills to align business needs with IT capabilities required

    • Life insurance, Marketing Technology background and experience preferred
