    Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Benefits Service Representative to join our team. This role involves managing benefits administration, assisting clients with their healthcare plans, and ensuring compliance with various legislative guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as a team player.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Administer benefits and stay current with healthcare reform, industry trends, and carrier products/services.

    Anticipate and address client and team needs.

    Efficiently manage time and make informed decisions.

    Follow up diligently and provide exceptional customer service.

    Utilize strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Employee Navigator, and Ease

    Communicate ideas clearly in both written and verbal formats.

    Exhibit proper phone etiquette and customer service skills.

    Discuss health plan benefits with employees during enrollment.

    Multi-task by handling phone calls, processing enrollments, and claim assistance.

    Review applications for completeness and accuracy.

    Use online tools to develop quotations, prepare pre-renewal information, and update client proposals.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, companies, and clients.

    Maintain a project plan to ensure timely client deliverables.

    Enter client data into AMS (Client Management Software).

    Assist with clients' open enrollment processes, including reviewing and editing employee presentations and communication materials.

    Keep clients informed about industry trends and state/federal regulatory issues.

    Ensure compliance with plan documents and summary plan descriptions (SPDs).

    Perform other duties as assigned, making independent judgments with general supervisor support.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration (preferred).

    Life, Accident, and Health Insurance Licenses (required).

    Knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, Section 125, and Health Care Reform.

    Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to perform sedentary work and lift up to 10 lbs.

    Consistently meet federal, state, and local standards for job functions, including productivity standards.
