    Position Summary

    Aligned Solutions is seeking a Benefits Specialist for a well respected company. The Benefits Specialist plays a key role in the day-to-day management and employee support of benefit programs. This position supports employee well-being by administering benefit plans, managing wellness initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations—all while delivering exceptional service and support across the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary contact for employee benefit inquiries, enrollment assistance, and issue resolution.

    • Administer benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary plans.

    • Manage 401(k) plan operations: enrollments, contributions, audits, and compliance testing.

    • Ensure regulatory compliance (ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ACA, IRS, DOL) and assist with annual filings (e.g., Form 5500).

    • Maintain accurate benefit data, process qualifying life events, and ensure system compliance (Workday).

    • Process invoices, check requests, vendor reimbursements, and manage the benefits inbox and mail.

    • Coordinate wellness programs, track engagement, manage vendor partnerships, and oversee wellness budget.

    • Organize anniversary recognition and benefit-related employee communications.

    • Guide employees through onboarding, open enrollment, and life event changes.

    • Respond to help desk tickets, employee questions, and benefit claim disputes.

    • Protect the confidentiality of sensitive benefit and medical information.

    • Support immigration-related documentation and communication, as needed.

    • Assist with additional HR projects and duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.

    • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration and employee support.

    • Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and best practices.

    • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

    • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP); experience with data visualization is a plus.

    • Experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems preferred.

    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
