Position Overview: We are looking for a Benefits Specialist to join our team to support full-range benefits administration and customer service to our clients and their employees. The position is expected to exercise a defined set of functions daily, exercising autonomy in matters of administration and auditing of benefit plans.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for ensuring all benefit plans are administered correctly and efficiently while adhering to deadlines of the plans.
- Analyze, audit, and prepare monthly insurance carrier remittances along with sending check requests to the accounting department.
- Collaborate with payroll regarding deductions or termination of employee's and/or client's benefits.
- Responsible for additions and terminations in the HRIS system as well as with the carriers.
- Responsible for the HRIS system as it pertains to the benefits and ACA.
- Management of the vendors and their online carrier portals.
- Provide functional guidance and direction to employees and clients on benefit offerings.
- Respond to employee requests/inquiries regarding their medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, HSA, and life insurance plans.
- Facilitate employee benefit meetings as it pertains to benefit renewals for existing clients and administer plans to new clients.
- Work with managers, insurers, and internal departments to maximize plan performance and the employee experience.
- Research and resolve escalated employee issues with insurers and draft responses with guidance from Benefits Manager as needed.
- Understand the ACA requirements and send out monthly ACA reports to the clients.
- Administers COBRA paperwork and payments.
- Coordinate the on-boarding process with sales and payroll as it pertains to benefits.
- Provide exceptional customer service experience to all clients and employees of those clients.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or Job-Related Experience.
- At least two years of experience in a full-spectrum Benefits Specialist role, in a high-volume workload environment.
- Demonstrated success in a Customer Service role (internal or client-facing).
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
