    Summary of Role

    Business analysts at Beneplace, LLC immediately impact our clients’ benefits strategy – from the very beginning, you will be involved in crucial analysis, providing the data on which key decisions are made for large, complex organizations.     Our practice helps large and mid-size clients promote employee engagement through our employee savings portal and voluntary-benefits platform. We provide solutions encompassing creative plan design, vendor evaluation and management, pricing and funding strategies, data analytics, valuation support, compliance, and governance strategies.

    As a business analyst, you will contribute to a wide variety of complex projects involving the design, delivery, ongoing management, and communication of the full spectrum of our offerings. You will report to the CFO and be charged with developing reports to track business objectives.

    Performance Objectives:

    Excellence

    Perform financial analyses of our current book of business

    Conduct benchmarking studies and other research

    Provide value-added analyses and summaries

    Analyze and compare vendor products, services, and contracts

    Design, distribute and evaluate responses to surveys and RFPs

    Communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues regarding data collection and project execution

    Work with current partners on product enhancements and relay updates to the sales team

    People

    Build strong relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams

    Financial

    Contribute to sales and marketing efforts by drafting proposals and responding to RFPs

    Requirements:

    Some experience dealing with the financials of property and casualty plans, ideally gained in a benefit consulting/brokerage firm or actuarial function (pricing/valuation) of an insurance company

    Well organized and detail oriented

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to ask the right questions and seek help when appropriate

    Ability to respond to all communications effectively and quickly

    Ability to work both independently and on account teams and enjoy a fast-paced environment

    Strong analytical and integrative skills including the ability to draw conclusions and identify trends from data in a logical, systematic way

    Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel

    Bachelor’s degree require
