Bentkey Ventures (Daily Wire) is looking for a Broadcast Engineer to join our Production team! THE BROADCAST ENGINEER MUST HAVE WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF ROSS VIDEO SYSTEM PRODUCTS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ULTRIX, XPRESSION, GRAPHITE, AND CARBONITE. The Broadcast Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and operation of all broadcast-related equipment. You will provide technical support to ensure the quality of production and transmission of both audio and video. Our ideal candidate for the role has previous professional experience in a similar role, is passionate about working with video systems (knowledge of Ross a huge plus!) and is a team-player. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and monitor studio productions to ensure technical quality
  • Set up gear, streaming, and encoding for all shows
• Collaborate with Director of Production, Directors, Producers, and Studio Manager for podcasts and other live shows 
  • Strategize most appropriate use of computers, monitors, control room configuration, broadcast gear, and live streaming services for live video and audio content 
  • Create and implement new show packages and updated assets
  • Configure broadcasts across the production gear, often adjusting to the needed format and style
• Maintain and update recording gear, playback and graphics computer systems, servers, streaming hardware, and software to ensure all are in working order
• Manage a variety of daily assets, including video and image graphics for live show recordings
• Research and pitch ideas for new gear and production software to Production leadership team
• Install new gear and production software as productions change and new projects are added
• Maintain and organize digital assets across live productions including graphic and playback elements within shows 
• Set up and update each show's inputs and outputs in the Ross Ultrix router for efficiency in changing between programs
• Work with Studio Manager and Producers to execute guest appearances for other networks
• Support Producers, Studio Manager, and Directors in show operations
• Perform other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of similar work experience in a professional production environment
• Working knowledge of Ross Video System products including but not limited to: Ultrix, Xpression, Graphite, and Carbonite
• Experience setting up and operating web-based live productions including using production switchers, IP network gear, routers, and graphics
• Understanding of audio/video and ethernet routing
• Basic camera-operating skills required
• Basic editing skills required
• Familiar with Adobe Premiere workflow
• Familiar with animation and motion graphics workflow

REPORTS TO: Director of Production

START DATE: Immediate

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time; Non-exempt

COMPENSATION: $75K-$100K annually (Non-exempt; hourly rate + OT)
