Essential Job Functions:
Sell products and/or services to meet the customer’s needs
Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging all customers they come in contact with.
Record all sales and/or customer transactions that occur
Maintain the retail sales floor and display to meet or exceed the standards and today’s customer satisfaction
Follow prescribed cash, credit, and check processing procedures of the dealership when working the parts counter. Processes cores, warranties, and new return merchandise as required at the point of sale
Attend training as prescribed by management to maintain proficiency outlined in the job description
Use shop equipment and resources safely and proficiently
Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor
Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers and/or potential customers
Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc
Recommend changes in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
Work closely with other staff to make sure that each packaged order has the correct amount and types of products to match purchase orders
Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice
