As a Sales Specialist, you will serve customers by selling products, meeting customer needs, providing excellent customer service, and working in a team environment.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Sell products and/or services to meet the customer’s needs

    • Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging all customers they come in contact with.

    • Record all sales and/or customer transactions that occur

    • Maintain the retail sales floor and display to meet or exceed the standards and today’s customer satisfaction

    • Follow prescribed cash, credit, and check processing procedures of the dealership when working the parts counter. Processes cores, warranties, and new return merchandise as required at the point of sale

    • Attend training as prescribed by management to maintain proficiency outlined in the job description

    • Use shop equipment and resources safely and proficiently

    • Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor

    • Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers and/or potential customers

    • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses

    • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc

    • Recommend changes in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments

    • Work closely with other staff to make sure that each packaged order has the correct amount and types of products to match purchase orders

    • Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company

    • Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice
