Your responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications, and routing sheets to determine production standards and tolerance limits. Recommend methods of assembly, welding, and production. Inspect finished products for paint quality and thickness, welding quality, dimensions, fit, blast profile, and appearance. Route product for re-work. Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re-work orders. Ensure finished product is packaged and loaded correctly to minimize possible damage during transportation. Analyze inspection results and assist in addressing and resolving production problems causing deviations from existing standards. Communicate with plant supervision noted deviations of tolerances and quality. Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards or instructions to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability. Make recommendations regarding safe working methods. Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations. Other duties as assigned. Your profile Education and/or Experience Requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of related manufacturing experience. Requires additional in-house training on special areas as appropriate. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents such as blueprints, routings, work orders, engineering specifications and safety regulations. Ability to write routine reports and documentation. Ability to effectively present information to customers and other employees of the organization. Computer Skills Must have some experience with Email, MS WORD or other word processing system, MS EXCEL or other experience with a spreadsheet application. SAP experience is a plus. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as dimensions, tolerances, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Other Qualifications Requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment to include micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, paint film gauge, squares, amp and volt meters, hardness testers, measuring tape, profile gauge, and various other precision measuring devices.
