Previously known as Washoe County Health District, North Nevada Public Health is the public health department for Washoe County, the City of Sparks, and the City of Reno in Nevada. Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH) strives to improve and protect our community's quality of life and increase equitable opportunities for better health.
Washoe County is home to over 6,600 sprawling square miles, bordering both California and Oregon with nearly half a million residents who call the region home. Position Profile
Under administrative direction, serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Nevada Public Health; plans, organizes, directs, manages, and supervises Public Health programs for Washoe County, and the cities of Sparks and Reno; directs the enforcement of Federal, State, and local health laws and regulations; directs staff in providing Public Health education programs; represents District activities, programs, and services with community organizations and other government agencies; and performs related work as required.
