Responsibilities: • Operate two or more multiple spindle screw machines, and perform a series of machining operations on bar stock, to blueprint specifications. • Set up, operate, and maintain two screw machines, including but not limited to changing cams, grinding form tools, drills, cutoffs, maintenance, etc. • Monitor 2 or more machines for mechanical problems. Initiate troubleshooting and solve mechanical problems. • Sharpen and re-set machine tooling to maintain part conformance. • Operate bench grinders and surface grinders to sharpen tools. • Makes necessary tool adjustments to keep dimensions within specified tolerances. • Positioning and securing tools in tool holders per tooling layout. • Ability to read and use micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, height gages, and other quality instruments. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating machine instructions, and procedure manuals. • Will use statistical process control techniques. • Ensure the machine performs to quality control plan & quality check sheets. • Must maintain a clean and safe work environment (work area, work benches, machines, etc.) Qualifications: • Perform a series of machining operations on bar stock, to blueprint specifications. • Requires working with hand tools, micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and a knowledge of basic math. • Mechanical, and electrical knowledge is very helpful. • Excellent ability to work and communicate well with others, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail. • Excellent ability to work and communicate well with others. • Perform general preventative maintenance on equipment. • Use of statistical process control techniques. Compensation: $18 - $23 hourly
