Our firm is hiring an associate attorney who will support us by conducting legal research, drafting documents, maintaining client files, and assisting with legal counsel. The ideal candidate will have some courtroom experience and strong legal research and writing skills. Responsibilities: • Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Monitor legal risk in real estate documentation and advise clients accordingly • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for real estate transactions • Draft and negotiate real estate transactions • Draft routine leases and amendments • Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before real estate transactions are executed • Manage regulatory and compliance-related services • Represent the company in the purchases and sales of properties Qualifications: • Candidates must have passed the bar exam • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school • Admitted as a notary public (essential) • Passed the Florida Bar Compensation: $100,000 yearly
