    Job Description

    BERMAN SUBARU OF CHICAGO IS LOOKING FOR A SERVICE LANE MANAGER! $125,000+ A YEAR! (Salary + Commission)

    As an SERVICE LANE MANAGER you will be responsible for assisting with training, motivating, counseling and monitoring the performance of the service department staff. The SERVICE LANE MANAGER also ensures proper maintenance & compliance with warranty/policy/safety procedures and ensures customer vehicles are serviced properly and in a timely manner. In addition, you will be responsible for writing up repair orders, maintaining at or an above average CSI score and follow-up with guest issues or concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Greet customer promptly on the Service Drive

    • Obtain customer and vehicle Information

    • Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer

    • Determine and recommend necessary maintenance based on age, mileage and history of the vehicle.

    • Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts.

    • Establish follow-up times

    • Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day and update customers frequently.

    • Verify the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair orders.

    • Comfortably and clearly explain all completed work and charges to the customer

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Proven track record of above average CSI with 5 years experience as a Service Advisor in a Dealership

    • Detail Oriented

    • Managerial Experience (1 year preferred) 

    • Strong focus on Customer Service 

    • Solid Technical Skills in Automotive Repair

    • Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report

    • Must be willing to submit a Background Screening
