Job Overview

· Cleaning/Refurbishing rental instruments, bows, and cases & assisting technicians as needed in the workshop

General Accountabilities

· Cleans instruments (this includes Violins, Violas, Cellos, & Basses) using a variety of cleaners and polishes

· Tunes instruments

· Unwarps bridges & sets soundposts on rental instruments

· Identifies and communicates with repair technicians any possible adjustments or repairs that need done

· Refurbishes bows & cases

· Maintains the clean-up area & rental instruments by keeping them neat and organized in the shop

· Creates instrument inventory tickets on each instrument

· Learn the use of hand/power tools and basic set-up of rental instruments · Helps unload and unpack large shipments/freight deliveries · Available to work some weekend/evening events · Participates in training and complies with all safety and health regulations, as established by OSHA

Skills Preferred

· Attention to detail, problemsolving, and taking initiative

· Woodworking or artistic skills

· Ability to play a stringed instrument

· Monetary compensation is based on yearly work performance
