Schedule : Monday - Thursday 6:30pm - 7:00am with Mandatory overtime as required.

Pay Rate: Hourly Rate is $19.50/hr + ($1.00 differential)

The Machine Specialist's primary responsibility is to operate the coating line's Take-Up end to manufacture niche, specialty tape products.

Primary Duties of the Job

• Adhere to all job-related ISO quality guidelines and customer requirements
• Review the Work Order (including the run sheet, the material requirements, and any applicable process notes) prior to commencing the run, and then physically verify that the correct material is loaded onto the machine and that the appropriate side of the material is threaded for coating or lamination.
• Manually or with the assistance of material handling tools, lift roll shafts as needed throughout the shift to load, unload, and store them.
• Cut and splice the material as necessary during the run.
• Remove rolls from the line and prepare them for shipment to the warehouse (skid, band, etc.)
• Utilize material handling machinery (such as pallet jacks, forklifts, drum trucks, and hoists) to transport, stage, and/or load raw materials and finished goods.
• Report equipment problems to the appropriate Group Leader and/or Supervisor, and report material problems following NCR protocols.
• Use adhesive cleaning chemicals as needed throughout the shift during changeovers.
• Perform additional tasks as required and instructed.

Education, Experience, Skills

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED

• Fluent communication skills in English (speaking, reading, writing)

• Basic computer skills

• Basic math skills

• Basic knowledge of scan guns and/or inventory control system

• Forklift operator experience is advantageous
