As an Operations Manager with BestPack, you will monitor how the organization carries out daily operations. This position works closely with department heads and upper management to promote business growth by maximizing company procedures. We are looking for a self-driven, enthusiastic individual with strong problem-solving and communication skills. The ideal candidate will prioritize processes and proactively identify and fulfill production needs.
Responsibilities:
Define, implement, and revise operational policies and guidelines for the organization
Develop and execute new growth directives
Work with the human resources department to create job descriptions, hire competent personnel, and oversee employee training programs
Liaise with department heads to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide operational compliance
Mentor and coach middle management, as well as related departments
Keep track of the company’s revenue margins and conduct budget reviews to maximize profits
Oversee client support services
Manage procurement and resource allocation
Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
Support, motivate, and provide guidance to operations staff
Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
Develop and evaluate workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials, etc.)
Ensure output meets quality standards
Enforce health and safety precautions
Education, Skills & Experience:
5-10 years of experience working in an operations role, with a minimum 5 years in management and leadership capacity
Excellent leadership and organizational abilities
Superior knowledge of industry regulations and operational guidelines
In-depth knowledge of data analysis software packages
Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) packages
Excellent written and oral communication
Proven knowledge of performance evaluation metrics in a business setting
Demonstrated experience in operations management or direction
Knowledge of, and experience implementing and upholding, quality standards and health & safety regulations
Experience conducting performance evaluations and analyzing performance metrics
Demonstrated experience with creating budgets
Experience in reporting on key production metrics
Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
