Job Description

We are seeking an entry level consultant to perform financial modeling and investor presentation support for M&A and capital raise assignments. The professional stepping into this position would work closely with our firm leadership to create, build and analyze financial models for clients in preparation of a capital transaction. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of valuation methods, bottom up financial modeling techniques and will possess strong project management and verbal communication skills. The candidate will be expected to research new and prospective clients and their industries, assist in the creation of tailored pitch decks and investor presentations as well as build investor ready financial models with the appropriate charts included. This is a great opportunity to gain in depth exposure to early stage companies that are raising capital and build relationships with venture capital firms across a wide-range of industries.

Responsibilities:

• Create investor ready pitch decks for Seed, Series A and Series B capital raises
• Perform market research on client specific industries and sectors
• Build detailed bottom up 3-Statement financial models
• Provide analytical support for financing transactions
• Corporate valuation and pro forma financial analysis
• Monitoring, data gathering, and interpretation of industry growth trends
• Assists in the development and composition of investor ready documentation including tailored pitch decks, financial models and other transaction materials
• Identify business functional drivers to assist with the development of an overall capital raise roadmap and strategy

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or Finance Preferred); MBA is a Plus
• 2-5 years of related work experience in consulting for early stage companies, financial modeling, or project management
• Passionate and intellectually curious about technology and startups
• High attention to detail and intensity
• Ability to demonstrate deep understanding of financial statement analysis
• Ability to function at a high level as part of a small team and with intermittent direction
• Strong communication and business writing skills
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects at one time
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
