Non Profit Organization located in the Galleria area seeks Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will be a degreed accountant (or commensurate experience) with 2+ years of basic accounting/bookkeeping experience within a medium sized professional working environment. We are seeking an individual who is detail oriented with above average communication and organizational skills, comprehensive knowledge of general ledger, financial reporting, budgeting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Must be proficient in MS Office and Excel and QuickBooks. Responsibilities include the following: - Process accounts payable - Process/supervise receipts processing and proper coding of revenue - Supervise accounting staff (one clerical staff member) - Maintain general ledger and insure accuracy - Ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly financial statements - Perform monthly analysis of actual income and expense to budget - Reconcile bank statements monthly - Ensure timely posting to our proprietary membership database (Blue) - Assist CFO in the development of annual budget - Assist CFO with schedules for annual audit process - Assist CFO in other areas as needed
