    BetterMynd is an online mental health and therapy platform for college students. By partnering directly with colleges and universities throughout the U.S., BetterMynd enables their students to have live video therapy sessions with our network of licensed mental health counselors, right from the privacy and convenience of their laptops and mobile devices.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    BetterMynd is seeking a FULL-STACK SOFTWARE ENGINEER to join our high-growth, impact startup that is helping to improve the mental health of America's college students.

    As part of a small and agile product team, this role will involve working closely with BetterMynd's Lead Software Engineer and Leadership Team to maintain and scale BetterMynd's web application. This will include monitoring and maintaining BetterMynd's current product, as well as being responsible for developing additional functionality and features in accordance with customer needs and the company's overall product roadmap. Being one of a few developers, you will be trained in the full BetterMynd architecture, from software to deployment to third-party systems. Flexibility is very important and wearing many hats, necessary. 

    BetterMynd is a web-based platform that is HIPAA and FERPA-compliant to securely and seamlessly allow college students to schedule and conduct online therapy sessions with a licensed mental health counselor of their choice. The BetterMynd tech stack consists of a legacy Python Django application and a growing C# (dotnet6) monolith on AWS ECS clusters.

    This role is ideal for a candidate that thrives in an agile product environment where you have a significant impact and responsibility for the product and service being provided to customers on a daily basis.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Monitoring and maintaining current product

    • Managing cloud-based infrastructure & deployment pipelines

    • Developing additional product functionality and features

    • Implementing the company's product roadmap and vision in close partnership with the product owners

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years full-stack product development experience with web applications

    • Experience with client-side web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS)

    • Experience with server-side web technologies (Python 3, C#, SQL)

    • Experience managing application infrastructure within AWS

    • Experience with unit test automation in a CI/CD environment

    • Excellent command of developer productivity tools

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

    ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience with these platforms is a plus: AWS, Azure, GitHub, KeyCloak

    LOCATION

    Buffalo, NY (local candidates highly preferred, but willing to consider virtual for right candidate)

    COMPENSATION

    $115,000-125,000 base; health & dental benefits; unlimited PTO; employee equity
