    Job Description

    Position Summary

    To assist the Beverage Manager in managing the Beverage department, including overseeing Associate Beverage Managers.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Job Tasks must be finished in a timely manner according to department standards.
    • Carries out all policies and procedures of Ameristar Casino Kansas City and/or the Food & Beverage Department.
    • Assist in hiring and training of bar personnel.
    • Manage and train Associate Managers
    • Understand and demonstrate Management’s point of view.
    • Assist in controlling labor cost.
    • Insure employee safety.
    • Responsible for cleanliness of all beverage areas.
    • Keep accurate reports on product inventories.
    • May be required to assist with related duties at other affiliate properties at Management’s discretion.
    • Responsible for inputting daily menu items sold data into the computer.
    • Responsible for administering corrective counseling when necessary.

    ** Required Knowledge and Skills**

    • Able to read and write English sufficiently to communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
    • Able to lift 50 pounds.
    • Must be able to handle a flexible schedule.

    Required Behaviors

    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
    • Practice good safety procedures.

    Required Education and Work Experience

    • One year experience as an Associate Beverage manager with a high volume beverage background preferred.
