    Bid Market Sales Estimator

    Barcom Security is a top leader in the electronic security industry and is looking for a Bid Market Sales Estimator. An ideal candidate would be career-minded and possess a strong work ethic. The candidate would initiate and maintain strong customer relationships and increase the sale of our products. Our line card includes Commercial Security Systems, Commercial Fire Systems, Camera Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, and more. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter and problem solver who keeps the customers best interest at heart.

    Job Requirements: Effectively communicate and network both in person and over the phone. Propose and sell security-based businesses in primarily a bid market environment, process work orders and communicate with the installation team. Achieve sales objectives and goals and follow up on all leads from external and internal sources. Maintain customer information files and notes. Resolve any customer issues.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Review and administer all bid market leads.

    • Communicate with existing customers to ensure continued satisfaction with Barcom.

    • Generating new customers leads through referrals, networking, building relationships, and prospecting activities. We are looking for that "Hunter" mentality.

    • Advise and consult with customers and prospects on the best products and services to serve their needs.

    • Prepare proposals and contracts

    • Collaborate with Electrical Contractors as well as in-house technicians to ensure successful installations.

    • Manage Client Relationships

    This is a great opportunity to succeed, but you must be motivated and driven.

    Our home office is in Swansea, IL but you will have the ability to sell anywhere in the greater St. Louis Metro Area.

    You must possess a valid driver's license and stable driving record. Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Prompt and regular attendance. Proficient computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, Internet. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be organized and detail orientated.

    Experience as an estimator or experience in the sales industry is preferred.
