The Superintendent will provide supervision for the complete daily operation of the project.  The Superintendent is responsible for interfacing with owners, architects, the city and subcontractors from construction commencement through turnover and closeout. The Superintendents main focus is manage the schedule, quality and safety in order to keep the project moving forward quickly and efficiently.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Overall jobsite safety
• Quality assurance and quality control
• Project planning
• Document control
• Cost management

Required Skills

Computer Skills

1. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
2. Experience with Microsoft Project, Suretrack, or Primavera
3. Ability to learn new software to do daily activities such as; write daily reports, meeting minutes, upload pictures.

Technical Skills

1. Able to visualize project through completion
2. Knowledge of applicable building codes and standards
3. Knowledge of what it takes to obtain agency acceptance, including required inspections and order of approvals
4. Understanding of union relations process and trade jurisdictions
5. Knowledge of corporate and OSHA safety policies and emergency procedures
6. Ability to read drawings and specifications, with an understanding of architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and how to find information

Required Experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ year’s construction experience and 1 - 2+ years as seasoned traveler
• Project experience with interior renovations, ground-up, established malls and new mall environments, renovation work in occupied and unoccupied environments, urban and suburban work locations

RECOMMENDED TRAINING / CERTIFICATIONS

• OSHA 30 hour
• CPR / First Aid / AED Training
• Lead / Asbestos Awareness
• LEED Accreditation
