    Hiring enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to join our Admissions, Guest Services, and Vendor Services teams for The Big E - September 18-October 4, 2026. These roles are essential to creating a welcoming, safe, and memorable experience for the hundreds of thousands of guests who visit each year. Whether you’re greeting visitors at the gate, assisting guests with information, or supporting one of our most iconic attractions, you’ll play a key role in bringing the fair to life.

    ** All positions start at $15/hour and require superior customer service skills.**

    Giant Slide Attendants

    Assist patrons in safely enjoying one of the fair’s most beloved attractions—the Giant Slide. From collecting tickets to ensuring proper rider positioning, this role requires strong attention to safety and a positive, engaging attitude.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Collect valid admission tickets
    • Distribute and collect burlap riding sacks
    • Ensure riders are seated properly before each ride
    • Communicate ride safety instructions clearly
    • Greet visitors with a friendly, customer-centered approach
    • Answer general questions from the public

    Position Requirements

    • Superior customer service skills
    • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods
    • Ability to climb stairs regularly throughout shift
    • Must be comfortable working in varied weather conditions
    • Must pass a CORI background check
    • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age by September 1, 2026

    Admissions – Ticket Sellers

    Serve as one of the first points of contact for fairgoers by selling admission tickets in temperature-controlled booths. This role combines customer service with accurate cash and credit card transaction handling.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Sell admission tickets at entrance booths
    • Assist guests and resolve ticketing issues
    • Understand and communicate discount days and promotions
    • Answer basic fair-related questions
    • Reconcile cash and transactions at the end of shifts

    Position Requirements

    • Superior customer service skills
    • Ability to sit for extended periods in a small admission booth either alone or with another seller (ticket booths are climate controlled)
    • Basic familiarity with POS systems and electronic devices
    • Cash handling and basic math skills
    • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age by September 1, 2026

    Admissions – Ticket Takers

    Welcome guests at entry gates and ensure smooth, efficient admission using electronic ticket scanners.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Scan admission tickets and credentials
    • Greet guests with a positive attitude
    • Answer general questions
    • Explain re-entry policies
    • Stamp hands for re-entry when needed

    Position Requirements

    • Superior customer service skills
    • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods
    • Must be comfortable working in varied weather conditions

    Guest Services – Guest Service Booth, Reception, and ESE History Museum Staff

    Support guests, staff, and participants by providing accurate information and assistance at information booths across the fairgrounds, at the reception desk, and in the Eastern States Exposition History Museum. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping others and solving problems in a fast-paced environment.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Greet and assist fairgoers, volunteers, and performers
    • Provide directions, information, and general support
    • Answer questions in person and over the phone (reception)
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

    Position Requirements

    • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age by September 1, 2026
    • Superior customer service and verbal communication skills
    • Friendly, professional attitude
    • Strong problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Basic knowledge of the fairgrounds
    • Ability to sit for extended periods and walk the grounds as needed
