    THE BASICS | Primary Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities for Branch Manager

    We are looking for candidates with diverse backgrounds to join our team as Retail Branch Manager. As a Retail Branch Manager, you will be tasked with handling a variety of unique challenges and duties – most importantly, growing revenues for the branch. To excel in this position, the ideal candidate must be a natural leader and mentor, competitive, a strong relationship builder, comfortable meeting new people and networking, a proven problem solvers and effective salesperson!

    BASIC DUTIES

    • Provide effective and inspired leadership to all branch personnel to ensure top levels of customer service and efficiency are achieved.
    • Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate all sales activities and budgets to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
    • Work closely with the Inventory and Purchasing departments to maintain adequate inventory levels and to implement effective inventory controls to limit surplus inventory.
    • Oversee the work of branch employees, including training, and ensuring essential functions are carried out.
    • Perform managerial functions such as preparing proposals and budgets, analyzing labor costs and writing reports.
    • Make important policy, planning and strategic decisions alongside other Middle and Upper Managers.

    BASIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES

    • Knowledge of the concrete construction industry is required.
    • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively in English, being bilingual in Spanish is a benefit!
    • Self-motivated with organizational skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle customer inquiries and complaints.
    • Up to date computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office and an ERP system, proven math, and critical thinking skills, along with knowledge in standards and regulations applicable to various areas.
    • Must be an outgoing individual who is comfortable meeting new people and being in unfamiliar situations.
    • Skill sets such as active listening, critical thinking, time management, people management, judgement, and decision-making, as well as social awareness, coaching, and teaching are crucial for success.
