    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
    • Valid Driver's License.

    Job Summary: As the Commercial HVAC/Plumbing Superintendent, you will provide leadership and support to both field and management personnel in the New Construction and Retrofit department.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: You will oversee, schedule, and coordinate the daily work assignments of field and management workers.

    Pay Range: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour based on experience

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Assign responsibilities to field personnel.
    • Ensure adherence to quality standards.
    • Inspect work performed.
    • Achieve operational and productivity goals, including budget adherence and field crew/subcontractor productivity levels.
    • Ensure a safe working environment.
    • Facilitate timely provision of materials, equipment, and supplies for field personnel.
    • Enforce company policies and procedures, operating in compliance with government rules and regulations.
    • Assign responsibilities to field foremen.
    • Ensure attainment of productivity and quality control goals.
    • Collaborate with Project Managers to preplan and schedule jobs, relaying information to field foremen.
    • Interact with customers on job sites to meet their needs promptly.
    • Ensure sufficient inventory of parts, materials, and supplies to meet installation goals.
    • Recommend necessary equipment purchases.
    • Maintain accurate and timely field paperwork, including daily work logs.
    • Stay informed of industry trends and changes, incorporating them into the department as appropriate.
    • Interpret and ensure field compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Operate within budgeted goals.
    • Manage subcontractors and their work on projects.
    • Keep an up-to-date log of Job Data Sheets for active projects.
    • Participate in investigating and resolving customer complaints as needed.
    • Review job costs on completed projects to ensure profit standards.
    • Coordinate the flow of information between the field and administrative personnel.
    • Provide guidance and support for positions reporting directly to the superintendent.
    • Monitor productivity levels and measure against expectations continuously.
    • Prepare reports as requested by the Project Manager.
    • Keep the Project Manager informed of unresolved problems and potential change orders.
    • Prepare material lists and order sheets to support projects.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Relevant certifications, such as HVAC and plumbing licenses or certifications required by local regulations.
    • Minimum of five years of related experience.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer.
    • Ability to reach above shoulders, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend.
    • Ability to stand and walk, reach outward constantly, and frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to climb, balance on ladders, scissor or boom lifts, and scaffolds, and stand or walk for long periods.
