Engineering Operations Coordinator
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Engineering operations coordinator will take a lead role in the engineering team for the PLEX ERP system, order setup, BOM management, parts/truck setup for sales order, and communications management with company cross functional groups. Additionally, this position will focus on process definition and standard work documents for key functions of the engineering group. This position maintains a deep understanding of company products and processes. This position directly supports custom design, service, and informational requests from cross functional groups within the company and external stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Primary point of contact with:
-Sales team on order entry, custom requests and setup
-Service team on warranty claims
-Production on order priority, scheduling, weekly meeting and supply chain issues
-Global team on orders, EP truck/part setup, and product launch needs
-Operations team on process design, process control and PLEX (ERP) best methods.
· Works with the Director of Engineering to
-prioritize requests and orders received,
-scheduling work-tracking completion of tasks
· Manages status communications with Sales, Manufacturing and Service on special requests.
· Provides internal engineering team with data, documentation, and supporting material gathering from cross functional groups
· Researches and identifies replacements for existing Big Joe product no longer in production
· Supports procurement in searching for alternate vendors and replacements for discontinued parts
· Set up and maintenance of component parts, assembly BOMs, custom order entry sheets, bill of materials for final product, and relevant forms on all truck models
· Maintains related records in PLEX
· Creates standard work templates and helps define process documents to support group/company alignment, as well as train new hires
